The system consists of PEX tubing or electric heating cables installed beneath paved surfaces. A dedicated boiler heats a glycol solution that circulates through the tubing, raising the surface temperature above freezing. Moisture and temperature sensors activate the system automatically when conditions are right for snow or ice formation, so surfaces stay clear around the clock.
